This maps almost exactly onto how Indian salaried professionals actually buy financial products. The buyer is pricing their own social exposure, not the returns — which is why endowment plans sell in weeks while term insurance and NPS sit undersubscribed despite better math, and why one colleague's SIP success moves more money than any spreadsheet.
