Ruben, this is a strong profile. The through-line is the most useful part: operating scars plus repeated founder help compounds into a reputation that functions like distribution.

One blind spot worth naming: a portfolio like this also reflects access, networks, and timing, not only judgment. A quick paragraph on selection bias, and on solo GP failure modes (key-person risk, pattern lock-in, bandwidth) would make the “solo platform” thesis feel more complete and more teachable.

My favorite takeaway is still the simplest: founders do not want brand theatrics, they want reliable judgment under pressure. More pieces like this, especially with a few hard citations for fund details and unicorn counts, would be gold.

Great content as always. I am not sure why you don’t have more subscribers.
